Cadbury Dairy Milk Mousse Chocolate Giveaway

Cadbury Me time Mousse

I trust that my chocolate loving readers have noticed that Cadbury’s have released a range of Mousse Dairy Milk chocolate in three delicious flavours. Wouldn’t you agree that there is something so “right” about curling up on the lounge, in front of television in winter, with a family sized block of Cadbury’s chocolate all to yourself?

Which is why I also love the new advertising campaign, “Chocolate so delicious it’s best kept hidden.” I had recently noticed that if my chocolate isn’t hidden there is never any left for me!

In my house treats such as chocolate have a way of simply disappearing, never to be seen again? I’ve had to be very ingenious when it comes to hiding chocolate. Hubby is 6”6’ so a hiding spot high up is out of the question. The teenagers know exactly where things are kept in the pantry and everything is in open view. The little ones can now open the fridge, and the middle of the fridge is at eye level. It seemed I was doomed to never have more than a square of chocolate.

Then one day, whilst cleaning out the very bottom of the fridge, (where the vegetables go to die) I noticed an unopened block of chocolate had slipped into the nether regions of the crisper, (what an ironic name). I had stumbled upon the ultimate secret hiding spot! I now ensure that a bag of slimy lettuce stays in the bottom of the fridge to act as a deterrent, and as yet my stash of chocolate has never been discovered.

Now please don’t get me wrong, I am not a horrible mother and wife, I wouldn’t mind sharing my chocolate.  The problem is, sharing is not on the minds of the rest of the family, their goal is to consume, and then search for more.

My task now is to find a way of getting some of that “me time” so that I can enjoy my Cadbury Mousse Chocolate.

So I think it is time to have a bit of fun! If my lovely Gourmet Giveaway readers would like to share their secret hiding space with me I have ten blocks of Cadbury Mousse Chocolate to give away courtesy of the team from Liquid Ideas and Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate.

About Julie

  1. No, I hadn’t seen them. But yes, with the chilly weather there’s nothing better than a night on the couch with a great DVD and a block of Cadburys

  2. I have dedicated one shelf of my walk-in pantry to spices, with two sets of spice drawers taking pride and place. Very conveniently, there’s a small space in behind the drawers…just large enough for the odd 1/2 block of choccie! And if anyone surprises me while sneaking a ‘line’ or two, I start pulling drawers left right and centre muttering about the rising cost of cinnamon quills these days! heh heh

  3. My family are chocolate stalkers
If they found they’d eat the whole block…….
My chocolate stash is well hidden
    Inside my old chiming clock!

  4. I stash mine in my container of healthy home-made natural muesli…that’s waaaaayy too healthy for my fiance to venture in there!

  5. sabina griffiths :

In the laundry, the kids and hubby never go in there.

  6. In the cupboards, slotted between old photoalbums and extremely old classic movies that nobody but me in my family will ever watch. And it is perfect because I love to look over old photos and watch movies with a block of chocolate.

  7. in the dishwasher, no one else uses it so I know it’s safe.

  8. We’re excited to read everyone’s imaginative hiding places, looks like there are already some good ones.

Promise we won’t tell anyone though. 😉

    Good luck!

  9. If I am lucky enough to get the block hidden before anyone knows I have one, it goes in the wok – no one ever looks in the wok and I am the only one who uses it for cooking. But if someone sees the chocolate come into the house, I ‘hide’ it behind the cookie jar. Of course, everyone KNOWS that’s where I hide it, behind that cookie jar, so when they look for my stash and there’s none behind the cookie jar it means I don’t have any, right? Right? RIGHT?

    I love my wok 🙂

  10. Hiding spot? Amongst my beauty products, right on the shelf right below the bottom of the box. Hubby never touches anything I place there, he doesn’t get why I constantly need a bigger box…well now you know girlies.

  11. In my daughter’s bed,
she never uses it- prefers to share ours instead!
under the quilt and pillows cause there’s never a snooping nose or sleepy head!

  12. This reminds me of a funny story about my mom and aunt locking themselves in the basement and eating chocolate bars! My hiding spot is in my jewelry box!

  13. I hide mine in my mouth. 😛 or I eat it on the way home from the supermarket, before anyone else gets a look in.

  14. Thank you so much for your awesome comment on my guest post! I’m blushing 🙂 That said, love your blog, gorgeous photos and so many mouth-watering delicacies. Those white chocolate smurf panna cotta’s are simply amazing!

On another note, I don’t yet have a FB, but where do I hide chocolate? In my bedroom. The only problem with that is, is that it leads to late night bites (or handfuls) of chocolate. Last month I ordered 2lbs of pricey chocolate for baking. Never had a chance to use it for baking. Have to change hiding places. LOL

  15. My tax file box – it is safe from the whole family except during the October rush

  16. The foyer closet where the vacuum cleaner resides is a perfect place. I’m the only one that vacuums so it’s safe.

  17. I do the cooking at home so where else to put my choccy but in the pots and pans draw! Not very imaginative, but safer than Fort Knox…

  18. Katrina Corbett :

The only people I have to hide chocolate from is the kids! High up somewhere out of their reach others wise they eat till they are sick!

  19. In the vegie crisper under the green vegetables. No child (or husband) in this house would venture there.

  20. If it’s not in my stomach, it’s in the laundry

  21. I used to hide my chcolate behind food in the fridge (a very obvious spot to the hungry little eyes hunting for snacks after school) that spot was not long-lived. I then had a stash in my undies/socks draw until my daughter found it while trying to get herself some ‘long socks’ for bedtime! I now put all yummies/chocolate the inside pocket in my handbag…this way the choc goes where I go. No kids venture into my bag as it appears boring…to the un-trained eye 😉 I put my bag in my bedroom cupboard when I get home and bring it out again at movie time adtre the munchkins are sleeping 🙂

  22. Belinda Bonello :

My chocolate stash is hidden under my dogs bed!

  23. At home , we have these long shelves & behind the shelves there is a pretty big hole in the wall which I accidently made a while ago, but nobody even knows its there because there is a shelf infront of it. I stash my chocolate in that hole 😉
